The December 26th Weekly Three:

  • The Biden Administration has pardoned every person convicted of the federal crime of use or simple possession of marijuana.

  • 40 percent of student loan borrowers missed payments in October after the COVID-era freeze on student debt payments expired.

  • Jonathan Majors, the actor playing Marvel’s next franchise-spanning Thanos-level villain Kang the Conqueror, was fired by Disney after pleading guilty to assaulting his girlfriend, throwing the entire story arc (and his entire career) into a spiral.

Something To Keep An Eye On

A federal judge has ordered the unsealing of a list of over 150 names of associates of Jeffrey Epstein, the infamous billionaire who killed himself in prison after being found guilty of trafficking woman and underage girls to (allegedly) the rich and powerful for decades. This list will be unsealed in early January.

Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s accomplice, was in 2021 sentenced to 20 years in prison for the sex trafficking of underage woman as part of Epstein case. Though this does raise the question: if she was guilty of trafficking woman and girls, who exactly was she trafficking them to? This list might lead to more answers.

A Note: Not all people named on this list are going to be bad people. Many will be witnesses or unfortunately, even victims themselves. It will be important to keep that in mind as people will undoubtedly go raising allegations based on simply being on the list. Context will matter.
